Im Ryan, currently learning and trying my hardest to become good at coding and cybersecurity, no specific area in particular yet. To be honest I got into cybersecurity after I got hacked... But I have always liked computers since i was small. I enjoy pentesting and building automation tools.
Since I don't have a specific focus yet, I usually do whatever I feel like doing on the day. I enjoy networking, web security, and messing around with Linux.
Right now i'm working on mastering my python, networking, and web pentesting. These are going to be core for my future no matter which path I decide to take, so I may aswell learn them now.
Even though I am at a beginner/intermediate level, I am currently looking for any opportunities to contribute and help others with coding. Since it's what I enjoy doing after all.
The turning points that shaped what I work on today.
I was watching my older cousin code and thought it looked interesting. So he taught me how to make a python program that takes user input and echoes it. Although i didnt do anything for the next 5 years this moment was still special.
After getting hacked I really wanted to learn more about why it happened and how to prevent it. This led me down a rabbit hole where I eventually started learning cybersecurity.
After a boring half term my passion for tech was re-ignited. And I started studying much more.
I don't really have any products yet. (Except this website). But I continue to work in order to start making some difference.
